Fianarantsoa Madagascar | Vatomandry

Madagascar's coastal city of Vatomandry is one of the 'ruby boomtowns' located on the eastern side of the island, in the province of Fianarantsoa. The ruby mines are situated in the rain forests and mountainous interior west of the city. The Vatomandry ruby star mines are some of the first ruby mines in Madagascar, producing high quality stones.
