Thailand, Phrae Province | Phrae Gem Mines

Thailand's Phrae Province (Wiang Kosai) is situated along the Yom River, in the northern part of the country, 550 kilometres north of Bangkok. The city of Phrae is one of the oldest in northern Thailand, which was part of Lanna Thai Empire. The ancient cities of Chiang Mai and Sukhothai are located within Phrae Province. The Wat Chom Sawan and Wat Luang Buddhist temples reflect the Burmese influence in this region.
