This Canon EOS digital SLR cutaway illustration was one of the first generations of full-sized single-lens-reflex cameras on the market, and was the result of a collaboration with Kodak and Canon. Kodak's CCD sensor in this camera was very modest by today's standards, with a image resolution of only 2 MB. The mechanical shutter, picture controls and magnesium alloy body were from the film version of the Canon EOS-1. Still, this was an astonishing achievement at the time, and the original retail price of the camera was over $15,000!
