The RSV 1000R has a redesigned chassis that utilizes high-tech materials to reduce weight, and add to frame rigidity and stability. The 1000R "Factory" version is outfitted with full Öhlins Racing suspension components - front, and rear, as well as an Öhlins steering damper. The 43 mm front forks are coated with titanium nitride (TiN).
Aprilia's magnesium V60 engine is designed for maximum output (143hp @ 10,000rpm), while still meeting Euro 3 homologation standards.
The addition of carbon-fiber body parts and metal braided brake-lines compliments the final "Factory" package. The RSV 1000R Factory's forged aluminium wheels are fitted with Pirelli SuperCorsa Pro 120/70 - 190/55 ZR 17 tires.
