Featherlite, Inc. was purchased on October 31st of 2006 by Universal Trailer Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, one of the largest "specialty trailer" companies in North America. Featherlite's luxury motor coach division has been renamed Featherlite Coaches Inc. Featherlite has a network of 16 authorized service centers located throughout the United States.

Featherlite manufactures two Prevost bus-shell conversion luxury coaches, the Vantaré H3-45 and Vantaré XLII. Representing the ultimate in luxury, Featherlite has broken the record for most expensive coach, the Vantaré Platinum Plus at a staggering $2,500,000. Featherlite is the "Official Coach" of NASCAR.
