CorrosionX Fluid Thin Film Coating Review

Corrosion X Fluid Thin Film Coating - Before & After

RV Product Overview

One of the most invaluable items on a motorhome is a good, penetrating, non-greasy lubricant. The best such item that I've found that fits this description is Corrosion X. As you travel around from humid to dry to marine climates you will find that such items as door hinges, fan parts, mechanical fittings, valve handles, and door locks among other things all need a good shot of lubricant from time to time so that they will keep from squeaking and will function properly. Corrosion X is the best lubricant that I've found for this purpose.

The Problem

A motorhome is a very complex and sophisticated piece of equipment with many moving and integrated systems. From time to time these various parts need lubrication to keep from squeaking and to maintain performance. This is true in both motorhomes that are used as full time residences as well as those that are only occasionally. The parts that are used on full time motorhomes, especially those that travel through different climatic zones sometimes become corroded if in a marine climate or dry if in an arid or high altitude climate. Parts such as a hitch or tow bar constantly need lubrication from constant exposure to road grime and dirt.

If parts are not frequently lubricated, even dangerous situations can develop due to rust and corrosion buildup. Sometimes screws, nuts and bolts and even wheel lug nuts will become frozen in place and need to be loosened from time to time. Without adequate lubrication the task of attempting to loosen or remove these nuts is very difficult if not virtually impossible without professional tools.

The Solution

CorrosionX is the most useful and versatile product of its kind. Corrosion X can be used to control corrosion without causing a messy wax coating or buildup and can even be used in saltwater conditions. CorrosionX is a super lubricant and penetrant and lubricates under heavy loads and high temperatures. Additionally, Corrosion X penetrates like nothing you've ever used. Corroded or rusted nuts, bolts or fittings can usually be removed within a few minutes.

Corrosion X Fluid Thin Film Coating - Application

Application

Corrosion X comes both in aerosol and pump spray for different applications. It should be applied sparingly to hinges, locks and other parts that need frequent lubrication. If it is needed to penetrate such as freeing stuck nuts and bolts it should be allowed to set for a few minutes then try to free the stuck item......it usually works like a charm and has never failed me yet. When lubricating the arms of the tow bar, first clean them off with a rag then spray with Corrosion X and move them back and forth a couple of times. They will then operate smoothly and last for years if done consistently.
