PIAA Headlight Bulb Overview

There are several differences between stock halogen bulbs and performance bulbs. Brightness is the first and foremost difference. The higher the Kelvin color temperature the whiter light the bulb will produce. A stock halogen bulb has a color temperature of about 3200 Kelvin. Performance bulbs are brighter and are rated at 3800K all the way up to 5000K.

The Piaa 9000 Series Xtreme White Plus Headlight Bulbs (rated 4120K) are one of the best and brightest headlight bulbs that you can use to replace the original headlight bulbs that came standard on your coach.

The Problem

The headlight bulbs that come standard with most coaches are generally either standard incandescent or standard halogen bulbs that are, for the most part, insufficient. They emit a rather yellowish light that does not project off into the distance. This light measured on the Kelvin scale is usually in the range of 2000K to 3000K (5250K being natural sunlight).

The Solution

The Piaa 9000 Series Xtreme White Plus Headlight Bulbs with PIAA's XTRA technology feature a 60 watt bulb that equals the brightness of a 120 watt bulb. These Xtreme White Plus bulbs at 4000 Kelvin are whiter and closer to natural sunlight than PIAA's very popular Super White Bulbs.

The PIAA XTRA series bulb output a brilliant Xtreme cool white beam similar to the H.I.D. color of the headlight of some new luxury cars, and the output brightness of the PIAA Xtreme White series bulb is up to 2 X brighter than standard factory bulb equipped on most cars today.

Installation and Operation

The installation is very easy and requires no special tools or parts. It is simply removing the old bulb from its housing located in the back of the headlight and replacing it with the new Piaa 9000 Series Xtreme White Plus Headlight Bulb. This is done on both headlights, low beams as well as the high beams.

One note of caution, do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers as the oils from your fingers are not compatible with the gas filled glass. Only touch the plastic housing and surround your fingers with a tissue if you must touch the bulb itself.

The operation is exactly the same as with the original equipment and the lights are used in exactly the same manner.
