Rhinoflex Sewer-Hose Overview

The Rhinoflex sewer hose is by far the best RV sewer hose on the market today. Yes, it costs maybe $10 to $15 more than the conventional sewer hose, but it is so far superior, that it is well worth the extra few dollars. This hose is now available as a complete kit with pre-attached fittings that include elbow, universal 4-in-1 adapter and bayonet fitting for a convenient ready-to-use sewer hose system.

The Problem

Standard RV sewer hose is difficult to store in the RV because of its length and lack of collapsibility. It is difficult to lead from the RV to the dump station, especially if it is a short run because it must be curled back on itself thereby making the movement of solid waste through the hose slow. For lengths over 10 feet the entire hose becomes very unwieldy when attempting to clean it or store it.

The Solution

The Rhinoflex hose is the toughest hose you can buy. It is made of heavy duty polyolefin and is reinforced with steel wire. It retains its shape once it¹s set until unhooked and stored. It is flexible yet tough with internal threads that seal tightly to prevent messy leaks. The feature of this hose that makes it so easy to use and store is that is compresses to 1/4th of its extended length, therefore a 10 foot hose compresses to about 30 inches and a 15 foot hose compresses to about 45 inches. If the distance of the run from the RV to the sewer is anywhere between the compressed length and the fully extended length, the hose need only be extended to the exact length of the run with no excess hose to support and no unnecessary bends or curves to deal with. The hose easily bends around obstacles and holds the exact shape that it is bent to.

The new Rhinoflex sewer hose kit expands to a length of 15 feet and compresses to 45 inches allowing for storage in a 4 inch square bumper. The kit comes complete to include: at the RV end of the hose, there is a super-tough bayonet fitting with 4 prongs for a more secure fit and at the dump-station end, there is a detachable 4-in-1 adapter for fitting to 3" slip or 3", 3-1/2" and 4" threaded pipe. Installation and Operation

If just using the 10 foot section of Rhinoflex hose, you will have to attach fittings that will connect to your both to your RV's dump line and to fit into a campsite sewer. However if you use the 15 foot Rhinoflex, it comes complete with pre-attached fittings at both ends. I strongly recommend the kit to avoid drips or leaks that might occur from non-pre-attached fittings. Of special note, I always use a Clear Sewer Adapter at the RV end of my Rhinoflex sewer hose kit which will allow you to see when your tank is empty and clean which takes the guesswork out of emptying your holding tanks.
