Minimal Water & Detergent Usage
The water-wise design of the washer features an "Automatic Consumption Control" that uses the load size and fabric type to automatically adjust the amount of water used. The front-loading "Horizontal-Axis" design uses 1/3 less water than conventional top loading machines.
Because the Splendide washer uses less water, it does not need as much detergent to properly clean your clothes. An amazing 1 to 2 tablespoons of low-sudsing powder or liquid detergent is all that is required.
The Splendide washer has a "Pre-Load system" which fills the water first and then adds the detergent, and its "Recirculation Wash System" prevents the detergent from being deposited on the bottom of the washtub. This design can save up to 23 percent more detergent than previous Splendide washers.
Design Features
Splendide's uses ergonomically shaped buttons and soft moving knobs that add to the "quality" feel of the unit. The unit's door swings out a full 140 degrees, and the door is set very high up on the face of the machine aiding in loading and unloading and the door has a large 10.5" diameter opening for easy access.
Splendide's self-diagnostics will alert you to any problems using the auto-dry and status/door lock LEDs. A built-in serial port connection will help the service technician to solve any problems.
The detergent dispenser drawer has four separate compartments for pre-wash stain remover, bleach, detergent, and fabric softener, which are automatically dispensed during the appropriate wash cycle.
Front Loading Horizontal Axis Design
The front-loading design positions Splendide's stainless-steel wash drum horizontally instead of vertically as in top-loading machines. The advantage of this design is that instead of employing an agitator to "stir" the clothes back and forth, the horizontal axis drum uses a "rocking" or "tumbling" motion which is much more gentily on your clothes. This tumbling action helps in the rinse cycle to remove all of the bleach, detergent and/or softeners. Additionally, he washer rinses the load up to 3 times unlike most washers that use only 1 rinse cycle after the wash cycle.
Filter Cleaning
Forget about it! Very little lint is generated due to the Splendide's gentle washing motion. The small amount of lint that is created will pass safely through the machine's recirculating pump eliminating the need to ever clean a filter. The pump's "pre-chamber" will trap any large items such as keys, or loose change that was inadvertently placed into the wash.
Easy On Your Clothes
The washer uses a unique wedge-shaped glass door that directs clothes in both a back-and-forth and side-to-side motion creating a "Crisscross" effect mimicking a hand-washing motion.
Splendide's perforated steel drum uses three raised agitator baffles that are designed to create a "Cascade" effect which oxygenates the water and lifts detergent out of the water, dropping it back onto fabrics. Splendide's wedge-shaped door and cascade agitator work together to achieve better results with less water consumption.
Rather than spinning your clothes at a constant speed, Splendide uses a "start-and-stop" Impulse Spin Technology Processor which results in less wear and tear on your clothing, less wrinkling, lower noise with less vibration.
Out-of-Balance Laundry Loads
Out-of-balance laundry loads are dealt with using Splendide's "Automatic Balance System" or "ABS". Splendide washers use a combination of shock absorbers and heavy-duty springs to cushion the shaking that can be amplified dramatically in an RV. Additionally, the motor will adjust speed when the washer detects an out-of-balance load, and if necessary, the unit will stop and automatically reposition the load.
