Painting your RV Back-up Light Reflectors
Increasing the Brightness of your Back-Up Lights
One problem that I've noticed regarding the back-up lights is that if you take off the clear plastic cover you will find that they come painted black from the factory. The black paint does not reflect very well especially when backing up at night and trying to see in the rear camera. A simple remedy to this problem is to remove the clear plastic cover exposing black reflector surrounding the bulb. Once the cover is removed you can carefully paint the black reflector with silver paint. Let it dry then replace the cover. The silver painted light reflector will have at least twice the reflective properties as it did painted black.
