Class A Scheduled Maintenance - Part 1 | Engines
Proper Maintenance is important to the longevity of your motorhome. Secure the copy of the Chassis Lubrication Chart from your owner's Manual. Sit down with the Service Advisor after the work is done to ensure that all maintenance was performed.
The following are Spartan Maintenance Guidelines for some of the more common Systems found in many of today's Motorhomes.
Engine - Oil Change & Fuel Filter Service


Cummins ISL and '03 ISL 370-400 HP
Engine Oil
- Service (Pre '03): 18,000 miles or yearly
- Service ('03 & Up): 20,000 miles or yearly
- Oil Filter: Fleetguard LF-9009
- Oil Type: SAE 15W40
- Oil Capacity (Pre '03): 24 Quarts (US)
- Oil Capacity ('03 & Up): 25 Quarts (US)
- Oil Capacity ('03 & Up): (Composite Pan Stamped Steel) 24 Quarts (US)
Fuel Filter Type: Fleetguard
- Service: Filter should be changed at every oil change.
- Filter (Pre '03): FS-1022
- Primary Filter ('03 & Up): FS-1003
- Secondary Filter ('03 & Up): FF-5488


Cummins ISC and ISC '03 300-350 HP
Engine Oil
- Service: 15,000 miles or yearly
- Oil Filter: Fleetguard LF-9009
- Oil Type: SAE 15W40
- Oil Capacity (Pre '03): 22 Quarts (US)
- Oil Capacity ('03 & Up): 25 Quarts (US)
- Oil Capacity ('03 & Up): (Composite Pan Stamped Steel) 25 Quarts (US)
Fuel Filter Type: Fleetguard
- Service: Filter should be changed at every oil change.
