RV Tow Bar Spare Parts

I have heard of other RVers who have had parts of their towing assembly stolen off of their tow car while in town or out and about. Therefore I have found that it is always good practice to always check the tow assembly whenever returning to the coach at a rest stop, or for after lunch when returning to the coach, or whenever you have left the coach unattended.

Sometimes a prankster just might remove a pin on your tow assembly. What he thinks might be funny, will cause you serious problems if you don't pay attention and always check your tow vehicle, tow bar and hitch assembly whenever returning to your coach that has been left unattended.

It is best to lock all parts of your hitch assembly including having a receiver hitch lock and at least two quick disconnect locks to prevent your hitch assembly from being tampered with. It is even better to have four quick disconnect locks to replace all of your four of your safety pins. I always carry spare pins, clips, cables, and shackles just to be on the safe side.
