This Exploded View illustration of a 4x4 pickup truck shows the truck body lifted off of the ladder-frame chassis, with the engine, driveline and rear differential and axle suspended in space. The original airbrush illustration was done for Isuzu of North America in the late 1990s. The exploded view illustration technique differs from the ghosted illustration technique in that there is no transparency to the exterior shell, and all internal parts are rendered as solid objects floating away from each-other on a perspective or isometric plane.
